Emergency Medicine residency
RESOLVED, That the Kansas Medical Society strongly supports the development of the emergency medicine residency program by the University of Kansas School of Medicine, and commends KU for its efforts, which should increase the availability of emergency medicine physicians for the state of Kansas; and be it further
RESOLVED, That KMS believes the new residency program should be encouraged to provide greater opportunities for medical students, residents and practicing physicians in other specialties, particularly family medicine and the other primary care specialties, to enhance their exposure to and training in emergency care.
