Kansas Board of Healing Arts
RESOLVED, That the Kansas Medical Society continue to support the concept of a separate licensing board for physicians, while also supporting changes to the makeup of the Board of Healing Arts which more closely reflects proportional representation of the professions licensed; and be it further
RESOLVED, That the Kansas Medical Society Executive Committee invite the leadership of the Board of Healing Arts to engage in an in-depth discussion about the composition, structure, functions, responsibilities, policies and procedures of the Board, and what steps need to be taken to ensure that the Board meets its obligations to both the public and the profession.
