False Claims Act
RESOLVED, That the Kansas Medical Society support continuing efforts by the AMA to work with Congress and the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) to establish a process whereby the profession and government can collaborate to find a better way to assure accountability and prevent fraud, without adversely impacting the physician-patient relationship and subjecting honest physicians to unwarranted intimidation, penalties and prosecution for inadvertent coding errors or omissions.
