HB 2340: Casino smoking ban exemptions
Description
-
This bill now contains the contents of another smoking-related bill (HB 2039). The current state smoking ban includes a number of exceptions; one such exemption allows smoking on the gaming floors of state gambling facilities. This bill would now remove that exemption and prohibit smoking in gambling facilities.
-
The bill, in its original form, would add bars that sell lottery tickets to the list of facilities who are exempt from the statewide smoking ban
KMS Position
- Support in current form; as originally written, KMS was opposed to the bill
